Anna Gordon

Anna Gordon is a journalist whose work focuses on public health, global development, and economics. Her writing has appeared in The Economist, Al Jazeera, NPR's The Pulse, and others. She started her career as a finance journalist writing for Chief Investment Officer Magazine before transitioning to work as a freelance journalist in Nairobi, Kenya. As a recipient of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting’s Postgraduate Reporting Fellowship, she published a story in Al Jazeera uncovering how a rural Kenyan county with a high maternal mortality rate was able to significantly reduce its death rate. In May 2023, she will begin a placement at Time magazine’s world news desk in London. She holds a B.A. in Economics and International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University.
